Recently my Basset Hound, Charlotte, has been having more serious skin issues so I decided to do some research into the matter following a trip to the vet. It seems she has Seborrhea Oleosa, or the oily variant of the skin disease.

In fact, after doing my bit of research into the matter I’d put her on the level 4 scale below. She really does not have much scaling of the skin, but she is very oily and smells it, too.
